Seasoned Sweet Potato Fries (V)
This recipe was a life saver for me and Aaliyah! And it's delicious!
Gently coated in cinnamon and nutmeg, this yummy sweet potato recipe may help baby with teething pain. It certainly calmed and soothed Aaliyah when she was teething. Nutmeg has widely been used in dentistry for treating pain in teeth (well the compound it contains has been - eugenol). Cinnamon contains analgesic properties - natural pain reliever. So both combined, will have excellent benefits for your little one. Suitable from 7 months of age.
Aaliyah loved this snack - it was easy for her to pick up (being in the shape of fries), and she loved gnawing on them. Sweet potatoes are also rich in beta-carotene, which meant this finger food was not only practical and moreish, it was excellent for boosting her immune system too. It quickly became a favourite in our home.
Here it is from my weaning cookbook - Easy Indian Super Meals. Leave me a comment letting me know what you and your little one think of the recipe. x
